What types of events does A Beautiful Friend plan?

A Beautiful Friend specializes in memorials, life celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, vow renewals, baby and bridal showers, graduations, retirement celebrations, luncheons, and other meaningful gatherings.

We do not provide full-service wedding planning.

What makes A Beautiful Friend different?

Our focus is on creating thoughtful, personalized celebrations that reflect the person, family, or occasion being honored.

From meaningful décor and custom details to planning, setup, displays, keepsakes, and special touches, our goal is to help create an experience that feels personal rather than one-size-fits-all.

Do you provide full memorial or funeral services?

A Beautiful Friend is not a funeral home and does not provide funeral-home services.

We specialize in planning, designing, decorating, and coordinating memorials and life celebrations and can work alongside families, venues, funeral homes, churches, and other service providers as appropriate.

Do you offer packages?

Yes. A Beautiful Friend offers different service options designed to accommodate varying planning and decorating needs.

Package details can be found on our Packages & Services page. Following a consultation, we will recommend suitable options and provide a personalized quote based on your needs.

Can packages be customized?

Depending on the event and availability, services may be customized or additional services may be added to better fit your celebration.

We encourage clients to discuss their vision, priorities, and needs during the consultation.

How far in advance should I contact you?

We recommend contacting A Beautiful Friend as early as possible, particularly for events that require extensive planning, custom details, or specific décor pieces.

We understand that memorials may require a much shorter planning period and will do our best to accommodate those needs based on availability.

How do I know if my date is available?

Our availability calendar provides a general view of scheduling availability.

Calendar availability does not guarantee that a date has been reserved. Your event date is considered secured only after all required booking steps have been completed.

Do you provide décor?

Yes. A Beautiful Friend maintains a collection of décor pieces that may be incorporated into your event.

Available items may include backdrops and display pieces, tabletop décor, lanterns, candleholders, vases, centerpiece bases, signage and other decorative elements.

A more complete décor catalog can be reviewed during your consultation.

Is all décor shown on the website guaranteed to be available?

No. Décor is subject to availability, and specific pieces cannot be guaranteed until your event details and selections are confirmed.

Some items may also require a refundable security deposit based on their type and value.

What happens if décor is damaged or lost?

Clients may be responsible for décor or other property that is lost, intentionally damaged, or damaged through misuse while being used for their event.

Any applicable security-deposit or replacement provisions will be explained in the individual service agreement.

Do you create personalized or custom details?

Yes. Personalized touches are an important part of what A Beautiful Friend offers.

Depending on the selected services, this may include custom signage, displays, keepsakes, favors, memory areas, guest-book alternatives, décor concepts, programs, interactive activities, and other details created around the person or occasion being celebrated.

Do you provide catering?

A Beautiful Friend does not provide catering services. When included in the selected services, A Beautiful Friend may assist with menu ideas, food-display planning, presentation, setup, or referrals to independent food-service providers.

Can you recommend photographers, bakers, caterers, or other vendors?

Yes. When appropriate, A Beautiful Friend may provide referrals to independent vendors such as photographers, bakers, caterers, florists, entertainers, venues, and other event-related professionals.

These vendors operate independently from A Beautiful Friend.

How do vendor referrals work?

Clients contract with and pay referred vendors directly.

A Beautiful Friend is happy to help facilitate communication and coordinate with vendors as part of the planning process when appropriate, but each vendor is responsible for their own pricing, availability, agreements, products, and services.

Do I have to use the vendors you recommend?

No. Vendor referrals are provided as a convenience.

You are welcome to select your own vendors unless a particular arrangement is specified as part of your individual event agreement.

Can you coordinate with vendors I already have?

Yes. When coordination is included in your selected services, A Beautiful Friend can work with your chosen venue and outside vendors to help keep your event planning organized.

Do you provide photography?

A Beautiful Friend does not provide professional photography services.

We may provide referrals to independent photographers if photography is something you would like to include in your event.

Do you provide cakes or desserts?

A Beautiful Friend does not bake or provide cakes or desserts directly.

We may recommend independent bakers or dessert providers and can help incorporate food or dessert displays into the overall event design when appropriate.

Can you help with food displays even though you don’t cater?

Yes. Depending on your selected services, we can help with food placement, presentation, serving-area design, labels, signage, and decorative displays.

Food preparation and food safety remain the responsibility of the client or food-service provider.

Do you plan weddings?

A Beautiful Friend does not currently offer full-service wedding planning.

We may, however, provide services for wedding-related celebrations such as bridal showers, engagement celebrations, anniversaries, and vow renewals depending on the event and availability.

Do you offer memorial videos?

Memorial or tribute video creation may be available depending on the package or services selected.

Details, photographs, music, and other materials needed for a video will be discussed during the planning process.

Can you work with my church, funeral home, venue, or other location?

Yes. We can coordinate with the location hosting your event as appropriate.

Venue rules, setup times, access requirements, decorating restrictions, and other requirements must be followed.

Do you provide the venue?

Venue selection or referrals may be discussed as part of the planning process, but A Beautiful Friend does not guarantee or automatically provide a venue unless specifically included in your individual agreement.

Do you set everything up?

Setup and decorating services depend on the package and services selected.

Your individual agreement will clearly explain what A Beautiful Friend will provide, set up, coordinate, and remove after the event.

Do you also handle cleanup?

Breakdown and removal of décor supplied by A Beautiful Friend may be included depending on your selected services.

General venue cleanup, catering cleanup, trash removal, or other responsibilities will depend on the venue, vendors, and individual service agreement.

Is a consultation required?

A consultation allows us to understand your event, your vision, the people or occasion being celebrated, your preferred style, and the services you may need.

It also gives us an opportunity to discuss packages, décor availability, vendor needs, timelines, and other important details before booking.

Does scheduling a consultation reserve my event date?

No. A consultation does not automatically reserve an event date.

Your date is considered secured only after the required booking process has been completed.

Are deposits required?

Deposit and payment requirements vary depending on the services being provided.

Any required booking deposit, payment schedule, décor security deposit, cancellation provisions, and other financial terms will be clearly explained in your individual service agreement.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be provided in your service agreement.

Because each event and planning timeline is different, the individual agreement will explain any applicable deadlines, payments, refunds, or rescheduling provisions

Can you recreate an event I’ve seen in your gallery?

Our galleries are intended to provide inspiration and examples of previous work.

We can use elements of an existing design as inspiration, but each event is created around the individual client, occasion, available décor, venue, and overall vision.

Can you create something completely different from what is shown in the gallery?

Absolutely.

The gallery represents examples of our work, not a limit on what can be created. Your consultation is the opportunity to talk about your own ideas, colors, style, meaningful details, and vision.
